George Curran

Bass Trombone of the New York Philharmonic
Announcements
I had so much fun joining the New Zealand International Brass Festival! There were some really great competitors and I enjoyed the great students in lessons, chats, and the warmup class. How I would have loved to be there in person. Thanks Sun He!
The Manhattan School of Music created a cool new course called Beyond the Excerpts, which I taught this fall. I worked with the low brass students on over a hundred pieces in the standard repertoire, which helped us to make up for the lost ensemble experiences they missed due to COVID. It was such a great success that we are doing a sequel next semester!
There have been a lot of virtual classes coming up this year. COVID has made lots of things harder, but people have even better access to high level teachers and performers than ever. Click on my calendar page to see where. I have really enjoyed hearing new people and connecting with old friends!
Now that CD Baby is not distributing albums, I have fixed the buttons to buy VITAL SIGNS. Check it out on Amazon or iTunes!
